Hi, my husband received his prognosis on the 1st October following a diagnosis of dehydration by the GP and by the 7th November he was no longer with us. He had a high grade brain tumour. It has been and continues to be truly awful. We have been together for 14 years, married for 10 but we were happy and now he’s gone it’s like half of me has too.

Hi Alison.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Though every story is different, I just want to sympathise with your experience as I also recently lost my husband to glioblastoma. He got 11 months but it is such a cruel disease!

You lose the person before you lose them. At least that’s often the case.

I don’t say this to diminish any other experience here as I know that each loss carries its unique trauma, but I just wanted to offer my heartfelt sympathies.

❤️
