New Year

I lost my husband in February this year. Christmas was difficult but we got through it

What I am really struggling with is new year. I really don’t want to leave him behind and start a new year without him I know I have too as have no choice

Into k it is also partly due to his birthday 2 weeks later then the first anniversary 2 weeks after that

No one sees the pain I am in and unless I reach out no one checks in on me

Am I the only one feeling like this

I had loads of offers in the beginning - almost all of them “I am here for you, just knock on my door anytime.” I hated that. Never did “knock on their door”. But something I learned - in the “before” that would have been me/us. Not sure any of us “get” losing a partner without losing a partner ourselves. That’s why groups like this - people like Nicky - are lifesavers. Biggest hugs - Paul
