Insurance

Check the car & house insurances, if they are in your loved ones name then they are considered closed on death & you may not be insured.

Most companies are good & will give you 30 days cover to allow you time to sort it out.

Practical and Advice Introduction

Hi, I'm Nicky, the founder of The Widowed Collective I wanted to create a free to access not for profit peer to peer support group for iwdows and widowers of all ages regardless of where they are in their widowed journey.

In this section please feel free to suggest any practical advice or information that you've found helpful..

I wantted to kick things off... Being widowed is devasting not just emotionally but also practically it can change your financial position overnight. One thing I found invaluable was Bereavment Support Payment which is paid to some widows and widowers in the UK, heres a link to find out if you qualify https://www.gov.uk/bereavement-support-payment

If you have any other support or advice or suggestions please post them eher and together we can help each other
