Hi Everyone, I'm Nicky the founder of The Widowed Collective, I'm 54, was widowed 5 years ago and live with my 17 year old son in Manchester UK. I wnated to start a not for profit to support widows and widowers of all ages whatever stage in their journey they are at. I think possibly the only silver lining to the terrible cloud of loosing your spouse is the friends I've made through the widow warrirs I've met in the past few years. I thought if we could collaborate to support each other through challenging times we may start to feel some hope and joy again.

Please help us by doing an introduction post, tell us a little about you and your journey.

Please spread the word to any widows and widowers you know, we will always be free to join, we do encourage donations to help fund the work we'll be doing.

I'm looking for help and support to run free local events like walks or coffee mornings where members can meet face to face. We are also looking for support with marketing, PR, fundraising and admin so if you have a little time to contribute in anyway that would be great.
